WordPress: What is your favorite drink?
Me: (honest answer) Howdy WP overlords, thanks so much for prompting me to write something on my blog!
Well, me, drink-wise… I generally like to start the day with a hard coffee, then later on some fruit juice, then later on, again, another hard coffee, then, after I’ve finished work on my 13 hour shift, a strong Belgium beer I find is well in order to decompress and reflect upon my woes.
However, lately, to answer your stunning WordPress Daily Prompt question most truthfully and honestly… lately I’ve been rather indulging, drink-wise, in:
- Formaldehyde.
- Virgin blood.
- Vampire bone marrow.
- Donkey piss marinating in the hot sun.
- Housefly eye fluid mixed with hot pepper sauce and lemonade.
- Dolphin sperm Mojito spritzers.
- Volcanic raw lava with ice cubes and the soul of a weeping unicorn masticating on onion gum.
Bad answers? Bad question.
WordPress… so nice to know you’re spending our hard-earned paid-plan money (plus, new, European VAT taxes!) on your ridiculous kindergarten questions to keep us all blogging!
Coming soon! New WordPress Daily Prompt:
“How do you feel about wearing X-Ray Specs?”

Well now, X-ray specs is a prompt I could DO something with. Yeah…these new prompts are…uninspired.
I liked what you did with this one, tho’. ππππππ§

I just pressed “skip for today” the daily prompt at the Jetpack app (which cannot be turned off): “What bores you?”

Lol. What is your favourite pair of socks?
Yep, I turned off the ‘skip today and forever’ button ages ago, but now their inane prompts show up in the Reader (which was actually one of the ideas I gave them via TVTA when all this daily prompt nonsense began (still waiting for my commission on that, eh WP?)

You are all lucky just getting daily writing prompts…I keep getting an advert asking
“Grab a professionally designed logo in 10 minutes
A great logo signals competence, professionalism, and quality. For just $55, the Fiverr Logo Maker will improve your siteβs look and reputation.”
What the heck! Haven’t they looked at my site? I think I could with my limited skills create my own logo…..IN FACT I DID! I created my own avatar and page banners. I even have variants to display over the festive and New Years’ period – complete with baubles!
So I’d like to say “BAUBLES” to WP

Yes, no matter how many times I press ‘skip forever’ I keep seeing that Fiverr logo ad each time I log in either here or at TVTA.
Lol, FT, them asking you if you need a logo… π Baubles indeed!

I don’t think I’ve seen these prompts, Ford… or maybe they just don’t register with me for some reason…

Hi Tom. Good for you you’re not seeing the daily prompts… They used to show up on new blank posts (but seems WP has ditched this horrendous idea), then they appeared on the dashboard… now it seems they appear in the Reader…
Maybe one day we can look forward to seeing drones in the sky, trailing huge banners which read: “Daily Prompt: What is your favourite breakfast cereal?” ππ

I post through Open Live Writer, or the WordPress App, Ford, so that probably explains why I didn’t see the prompts (… or I did see them and totally ignored them!)
Regarding the banners, though, I have a thought: No… don’t give them ideas!!! π€£

I think you’ve activated me, Ford. I saw a prompt today in the dashboard π¬ ‘where would you like to go on a shopping spree’ (or something) πΆ
I’m lost for words.

Not now, it seems. The last one I saw wasn’t too bad though… write to your one hundred year old self.

Those all sound like perfectly reasonable responses. I have noticed these prompts now popping up on the Reader rather than the post page. My answer of cocoa would be nearly as exciting as the prompt itself.
Eww onion gum, though! But what a laugh when the teacher would shout, “are you masticating at the back there?!”

Hi Jacob, me too, they show up on the Reader.
Cocoa is fine! How about Ovaltine? Horlick’s? Just the thing to get warm on a wintry eve βπ¨ββ
Now, you there, stop masticating at the back! π

The app is updated and gives an option to turn off the prompts…π»

Well done π₯They show up in the Reader for me which is okay. I’m still getting on my dashboards the Fiverr prompts that FT mentioned, even though I’ve already disabled them π I guess WP really wants me to have a professional logo!

πππ€£ππ Good one Jeanine!
If WP are asking a daily prompt question every day, then how long before they run out of questions? I mean, they’re already scraping the barrel and it’s only a couple of months into their initiative to make us all great bloggers…
